Music and fashion walk side by side. It’s like the chicken and the egg dilemma – ‘which came first?’ Do we let ourselves be induced first by the music or the look of one’s behind that “Shure 55SH Elvis mic”?! Tricky question…Personally, I used to have the habit of buying records just by looking at its covers – if it aroused me in any way, I’d give it a chance and would spend a minute of my precious time listening to the tracks. Fortunately, my good eye has never let me down on this matter, always came home with a good purchase of a known or unknown artist.
Música e moda andam lado a lado. É feito a história do ovo e da galinha – ‘quem veio primeiro’? Será que nos deixamos influenciar primeiro pela música ou pelo estilo do cara que tá ali atrás daquele microfone à lá Elvis? Pergunta capciosa…Pessoalmente, eu tinha a mania de comprar cds só pela capa – se me despertasse qualquer sensação, tirava alguns minutos do meu precioso tempo pra ouvir as faixas. Felizmente, meu bom olho nunca me decepcionou e sempre levei pra casa coisas boas de artistas já conhecidos ou novidades de nomes que nunca tinha ouvido até então.
You must be thinking “ok, this bitch is babbling again and doesn’t even know basic math…get a clue, you moron!”, right? Let me really cut to the chase: Esquire magazine made this awesome style guide about the 50 most stylish musicians of the last 50 years. “Alright…50 musicians plus 50 years, I get it..but why equals 110?”, you’d ask. Fact is, I found the list a bit unfair to some of my personal favorite in vogue musicians, so I added 10 more. Simple as that.
Você deve estar pensando “Massa, mas essa imbecil tá enrolando e falando nada com nada e nem conta sabe fazer…se liga, demente!”, certo? Então vou direto ao assunto: a Esquire fez esse guia massa de estilo sobre os 50 músicos mais estilosos dos últimos 50 anos. “Beleza…50 músicos mais 50 anos, entendi…mas por que igual a 110?”, você me perguntaria. A verdade é que senti falta de alguns artistas que, pra mim, são ultra descolados, então coloquei mais 10 na lista. Simples, né!
